Sonny Shanks

Sonny Shanks has a degree in History from the University of Louisville, a degree in Philosophy from Indiana University, is a past president of the IU Philosophy Club, is a member of Phi Sigma Tau and Pinnacle National Honor Societies, and has a Doctorate of Divinity from Universal Life Church, for whom he also serves as a Chaplain.

During Covid-19 he earned 2 online certificates in Buddhism, as well as ones in the Gaelic and Spanish and German languages. He also presented at various philosophic symposiums via Zoom.

Sonny is currently working on his Master's of Theology degree from St. Meinrad's Catholic School of Theology and Seminary.

Sonny taught Bible for over 20 years in various schools and churches. He is the author of fifteen books on various religious-themed topics. He is also a free lance writer and poet, and has had numerous pieces published in a variety of media, including Catholic newspapers from Boston to Hawaii.

Sonny is also a free lance singer and musician, playing at local churches, coffee shops, fairs, festivals, and other.

Sonny has 3 kids and 4 grandkids.
