Jimmie Davis Compton Jr.

Jimmie D. Compton, Jr. founded and served for over thirty years as Senior Pastor of Hope Bible Fellowship Church in Detroit, Michigan. He holds a master's degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary and worked as a licensed therapist for twenty-five years, bringing a rare combination of pastoral and clinical insight to his ministry.

He has served in a range of counseling and chaplaincy roles, including with the Detroit Police Chaplain Corps and Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries. He completed an in-depth, six-year research project into Early African Church History, from Jesus's Resurrection to the Rise of Islam, which has since been developed into a two-year, self-paced online curriculum at Hope Institute, the teaching and ministerial arm of Hope Bible Fellowship Church.

Jimmie and his wife Nancy have two children, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Insight from his books, In All Things, Love: Escaping the Church Schism Cycle, A Ball of Confusion in Galatia: Fighting a Religious, Nationalistic, and Ethnic Battle, Re-Weaponized Prayer Against Divisiveness, and Church Leader's Eyes That See, have navigated many church leaders through the myriad of doctrinal misapplications and falsehoods that plague the Church in America today.
