Z. C. Yang

Dr. Zhaochun Yang obtained his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. He has been engaged in the field of finite element analysis over 18 years as a lead engineer of the big companies and has completed many projects in both academia and industry. He summarized his experiences of finite element analysis in the following four books:

1.Finite Element Analysis for Biomedical Engineering Applications, CRC Press, 2019.

2.Multiphysics Modeling with Application to Biomedical Engineering, CRC Press, 2020.

3.Material Modeling in Finite Element Analysis, Second Edition, CRC Press, 2023.

4. Application of Finite Element Analysis for Fracture and Damage Mechanics, CRC Press, 2025.

Besides the above books, Dr. Yang published 12 journal papers.

In 2025, he was appointed as adjunct assistant professor of the University of Pittsburgh.
