Elena Crippa

Dr Elena Crippa is a curator and writer based in London. A specialist in post-war and contemporary art, she has pursued new narratives by researching the history of exhibitions, art schools and collective belonging. At Tate, she edited and contributed to numerous publications. Her exhibitions include All Too Human: Bacon, Freud and a Century of Painting Life (2018), Frank Bowling (2019), Paula Rego (2021), and the 2022 commission Hew Locke: The Procession. Her research on artists associated with the ‘School of London’ has been the object of numerous publications and exhibitions internationally.
