Thomas Koehler

Thomas Koehler, born in 1966, worked for more than twenty years in closed acute psychiatric wards. There he had contact with both sex offenders and severely traumatized victims.

He regularly spends part of the year in Denmark and Sweden to pursue his writing career.

After living on a remote estate for several years, Koehler moved to a small town near Göttingen with his daughter in 2002.

In September 2019, Koehler was awarded the "Harzer Hammer" prize at the "Mordsharz" crime festival for the best German-language crime fiction debut.

Since 2012, he has been published both in German-speaking countries and worldwide by the literary agency
