Ramiro Sanchiz was born in 1978, in Montevideo, Uruguay. He currently works as a translator and literary and music critic. His last books are "El orden del mundo" (editorial El Cuervo, La Paz, Bolivia, 2014; editorial Fin de Siglo, Montevideo, Uruguay, 2017), "Las imitaciones" (Décima Editora, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2016; editorial Vestigio, Bogotá, Colombia, 2019), "Verde" (editorial Fin de Siglo, Montevideo, 2016) y "La expansión del universo" (Literatura Random House, 2018). Among his interest are the life and music of David Bowie and Brian Eno, accelerationism, speculative realism, ambient and generative music, posthumanism and horror studies. He remembers having played guitar in an alternative metal band, but that probably happened in another universe.
