Anne M. Apking

As a learning and performance improvement consultant since 1983, Anne has worked successfully with a wide array of industries and clients, creating and implementing learning and performance improvement solutions that make a difference.

Anne collaborated with Dr. Robert Brinkerhoff, co-authoring High Impact Learning, which was published in 2001. Anne and Rob have reunited, and have joined with Edward Boon of Promote International (based in Stockholm Sweden) to publish Improving Performance Through Learning (2019).

This new publication reflects Anne's learning design and development philosophy and approach with her clients. This new book explores and illustrates how High Performance Learning Journeys (HPLJs) result in significant and sustaining business results. Readers of Improving Performance Through Learning will soon realize that HPLJs are not just stretched over time, but also over spaces, relationships, tools/structure and business linkage. This publication not only provides the conceptual underpinnings of HPLJs, but also provides practical guidance on the design of HPLJs, as well as five case study examples where HPLJs were executed successfully in a variety of organizations and industries.

Anne continues to consult with clients on L&D initiatives in Michigan, as well as support Promote International.
