Sophia Moreno

Author Sophia Moreno was born and raised in Wisconsin, where she became a victim at an early age of sexual assault and emotional/verbal abuse. During Sophia's early college years is when she finally became free from her abuse, so she decided to change her status from being a victim to becoming a survivor. She decided to move to New York on a whim to start a new life and become a volunteer Rape Crisis Counselor for VIBS. While at VIBS, Sophia won Volunteer of the Year Award in 2018. Then in 2020, Sophia won the "Social Image Award" from Long Island's Imagine Awards. While a volunteer, Sophia decided to write her life story on her experiences as a sexual assault and emotional/verbal abuse survivor. She enjoys spreading awareness on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and helping victims get the justice they rightfully deserve. Sophia has also decided to donate 10% of her book sales to RAINN, in order to support and advocate for victims and their families.
