Carol Daems-Townsend

I am a Las Vegas Nevada native, and was born at Nellis AFB when Las Vegas had less than 20,000 residents. I have always loved reading and studying history, especially about the Missouri Territories, which included Monatana, where my great-great grandfather became one of the earliest doctors.

He and his wife, Marie Catherine Valston-Daems emmigrated to the United States from Belgium where they both graduated from the Paris School of Medicine in 1839. He was a well respected doctor and rancher, serving as Monatana Territorial Treasurer for two terms. Great Grandma Marie left behind some very detailed letters about her family as well as Great Grandpas that have helped me put our genealogy together.

My grandfather, Leonard Daems is in the College Football Hall of Fame because his Missoula Golden Grizzlies were undefeated for his four years in college, ending in 1913. He kept our family stories alive and shared so much history with me that I found it easy to love history.

Today, I write fiction, involving characters from every generation, and enjoy the twisting turns they take me on in the journey to the last page.

I hope everyone who reads my books enjoy the characters as much as I have while writing their stories.
