Hey, I’m M.L. Broome, and I write romance for women who’ve lived a little, loved a lot, and learned the hard way that “happily ever after” usually comes with a few bad decisions first.

I grew up dreaming I’d be Carrie Bradshaw—strutting through Manhattan in killer heels and sipping Cosmos in a gorgeous brownstone. Reality check: I trip over nothing, prefer whiskey to Cosmos, and my love life looked more like a blooper reel than a highlight reel—until I met my own happily ever after.

These days, I write later-in-life romance—stories about women over thirty-five whose lives are a little messier and a lot more real. They’ve faced divorce, grief, single parenthood, chronic pain, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with being human. Because love doesn’t stop after thirty; it just gets more complicated—and more worth fighting for.
