Daniel Long

Daniel Long is an illustrator based in Norfolk, United Kingdom who has been working there since graduating University in 2014.

His work is heavily influenced by the natural world, whether that be the dinosaurs of the Jurassic period, Spider Monkeys and Jaguars in Amazon Rainforest or the kingfishers and otters of his local Norfolk Broads.

Daniel tries to keep as much of his work process as analogue as possible and every project is started with lots of pencil sketches before being taken into Photoshop and the final art is created using layers and layers of vector shapes. He always adds lots of textures and shading to add depth, intensity and an organic feel to an illustration.

When not Illustrating Daniel can be found procrastinating playing guitar or exploring the Norfolk coastline with his dog friend Hendrix.
