Bruce Smolen

Bruce spent his early years in a tiny pink house, raised by a very loving family (he's the youngest of 6 children). His family spent most of their time together - all holidays were a huge deal and family dinners were crowded, in a good way. They were fortunate to have a big back yard, pets, and neighbors who raised both horses and chickens! While Bruce always liked to write, it wasn’t until recently he started illustrating his own children’s books, having never taken any formal art classes. Bruce feels the story is the most important things in his books, which feature characters who become enlightened, kind and caring, or empowered. He hopes they are a fun read for children, and adults are able to find deeper underlining messages as well.
