Charlene Hemans

Charlene Hemans was born in Lewisham London, where she lived with her mother and 3 siblings.

From an early age, Charlene found reading and writing frustrating, but strangely therapeutic she would write songs and poetry, performing them to family, friends and at school talents shows.

Charlene pursued a music career, wrote and performed across the midlands, both independently and part of a band, under her maiden name Charlene McKenzie.

Self-doubt, bad choices, and crushed spirits have all be things that have held her back from her dreams, especially when it came to performance and becoming a published author.

Inspired by her cousin Tonia Daley-Campbell, in 2018 Charlene made her dream a reality with Marcia M Publishing House. Her first book release March 2019 'My Mum The Superhero.'

Since then Charlene has gone on to write her second children's book, commissioned by WMP 'In The Nick Of Time' as well as being in the process of publishing her 3rd children's book 'He Was Here.'

Charlene hopes to publish a book of her life long poetry, stemming back as far back as 9 years old. In the meantime, she runs her marketing company, TML with her business partner, and is developing into life coaching with, 'Walking On Purpose' all whilst continuing to support and work with Marcia M Publishing House.
