Don Nicely's life story is one of resilience and transformation. Abandoned by both parents at just 16, he faced the harsh realities of life on the streets of Port Washington, Ohio, surviving day by day in search of his next meal. Yet, driven by sheer bold determination, he defied the odds and graduated high school against all expectations.

At the age of 28, on July 4, 1987, Don found a life-changing faith in Christ, which became his anchor in battling fear. This pivotal moment opened new doors, leading him to meet his future wife, Susie, in church just five months later. Their whirlwind romance culminated in marriage three months after they met, and they've shared over thirty-seven wonderful years together thus far.

For the past 27 years, Don has served as the senior pastor of New Hope Church of God. Impacting Lives as the senior pastor of New Hope Church of God, Don has dedicated his life to guiding and uplifting others. His leadership style emphasizes compassion, hope, and empowerment, helping congregants confront their fears and embrace their potential. Under his guidance, the church has grown and become a beacon of hope in the community. His passion for helping others overcome fear inspired him to write his first award-winning book, A Year Without Fear, in 2004. Since then, he has published close to a hundred books, including a powerful book dedicated to combating the spirit of fear.

Today, Don continues his pastoral work at New Hope, now residing in Vero Beach, Florida, with Susie. Together, they are planting a satellite church of New Hope in Ohio. In addition to his ministry, Don is also a skilled captain, running a fishing charter business.
