Kevin J. Hackett lives in sunny Southern California with his wife and kids. He has written six novels over the years in various genres: thriller, horror, science fiction, and mystery/whodunit.
His most recent book is The Ghosts of Everbridge Manor, available right here on Amazon in Kindle E-book and Paperback form.
The Ghosts of Everbridge Manor is a horror story about two people who can’t seem to escape the haunted grounds of a creepy old mansion – what keeps them there, and what could possibly be making that foul smell in the basement? You’ll have to buy it and read it to find out! It is a very fast read.
Kevin's previous book was Life Among the Dead, also available on Amazon (Kindle E-book and Paperback).
Life Among the Dead is a horror novel about David (aka Dirk Victory), a young man who survives the virus that kills (almost) everyone else in the world, only to find out that being that rare “one human left on the planet” has put a target on his head. Thankfully, he is assisted in his bumbling efforts to survive by a humorous Dalmatian and a drunk, grizzled former soldier. Dirk and his two companions soon run into some shadowy enemies, and escaping that threat will change all three of them forever.
A professional screenwriter has written terrific screenplay treatments for The Ghosts of Everbridge Manor and Life Among the Dead. The LATD screenplay has the catchy title of Dirk Victory, but the story and dialog come straight from Kevin’s novel. The screenplay Dirk Victory was a finalist in the 13th Annual StoryPros International Screenplay Contest. Now that The Ghosts of Everbridge Manor also has a completed screenplay, with some luck you might be seeing Everbridge Manor looming above you on the big screen.
If you read The Ghosts of Everbridge Manor or Life Among the Dead, Kevin would love to hear your thoughts and comments in the Reviews area…but please take care not to spoil the surprises in the story! Both of these works have secrets that they want to keep for new readers.
