Born in the United States, Lisa Fittipaldi spent her formative years living in England. When returning to the United States she was granted a full scholarship to the University of Michigan where she studied literature and English. After marrying Al Fittipaldi she continued her education becoming a licensed Nurse Practitioner at the University of Maryland, and a CPA from the University of Houston. In the 1970's she pursued a career in art and was featured internationally on television and magazines. Lisa began her writing career, after both losing her sight for many years and regaining it in 1980, with the book "A Brush With Darkness". Describing her ordeals dealing with the world of art. Other books in her series have been co-authored or edited by her husband, AL.
Lisa has traveled the world experiencing the cultures and the lives of the many people she has encountered in her explorations. Over the years she has taught at the University level in Ecuador, Argentina and Costa Rica. She is now endeavoring a journey into the world of sculpture, studying in France with world renowned sculptress Martine Vaugel. Both she and her husband continue to write about their life journeys.
