Stuart K Manley

I was born in North London in 1971 and struggled through my youth due to outside pressures. I found it hard to fit in or relate to others but there was always one constant in my life that kept me sane and that was my canine companions who were always there for me all the way through.

I have also always loved history and the environment, in which I can remember someone years ago saying to me, "If we study our history, the less likely we are to make the same mistakes twice." So with this in mind, I have always felt that it is so important to encourage others to learn about it.

With all this in mind and no previous knowledge of writing, I still felt that there was a story to write on the things that I felt strongly about. So with moral support from friends, the Special Dog Squadron was created, in which I hope the reader will have fun and come away with a sense of morals, values and maybe, just maybe spark an interest into the history books on their own.
