Father X

“Father X,” is the priestly pen name of a quiet author of numerous books on education, politics, and law. This book, The Shroud, is published anonymously so as not to add any further to the author's list of enemies.

One non-enemy (Douglas Preston, noted prize winning author) said of it: "I read The Shroud by the mysterious 'Father X' with enormous interest. It tells the 'true' tale of a Vatican scientist who attempts to hasten Christ’s return by cloning Him from DNA taken from the Shroud of Turin. I could not put down this dark and clever novel, full of arcane history and bloody machinations, beautifully written and conceived. I highly recommend it!"

On the other hand, a close relative of the mysterious Fr. X proclaimed The Shroud to be "evil, disgusting, and Satanic." Actually, our quiet author also approves of that sentiment.
