D.J. Maehs

D.J. Maehs began her writing career at the age of ten when she wrote and published a family newspaper containing fiction and non-fiction stories, charging ten cents per issue. In high school, she served as a member of the school newspaper staff and became editor her senior year. During college, D.J. entered and won the state contest for the state of Oklahoma regarding the Youth Debates competition regarding topics pertaining to American history. After college, she worked for the state of Oklahoma for six years and in public education for twenty-three years.

Currently, she is a grant-writer and also writes non-fiction books regarding finance, organization, and dream analysis. "Dating Dreams...and Nightmares" is her first published book in collaboration with other writers of the Creative Quills Writing Group. Her next book, "Interpreting Dreams: Analyzing Recurring Dreams of Failure" will be published in late 2019. D.J. and her husband reside in a small town in northwest Oklahoma.
