Brandon "Breeze" Dawson

I’m a Christian writer who spent a large portion of my early years seeking validation on basketball courts all over the city of Atlanta. The game of basketball was so beautiful to me. It brought me joy, but it also brought me pain. I thought that once I made it to the professional level, that I was going to play this game forever. Honestly, it was all I knew and all I wanted to do. But forever comes quickly, and I found myself walking away from basketball after my second season as a professional.

With one dream ended, I decided to pursue something that was always in my heart that I never had the courage to go after. I decided to be a writer. I published a collection of poems I had written to Jesus about feelings that I never dared to share with anyone in 2019 entitled “Love. Faith. Endurance. Messages to Jesus;” and in 2020 I followed it up with “Love. Faith. Endurance. Poems In His Presence.”

Writing those books and hearing people tell me how they helped them in situations that they were currently facing inspired me, and I knew I had to go deeper. The Bible tells us that we overcome the enemy by the blood of the lamb, and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11); so I decided to share exactly what Jesus has done for me and I released “Basketball My Teacher, Jesus My Savior” in 2023.

I’m not some grandiose writer, and I can’t promise you that you’ll enjoy my writings; but I can assure you that the things I write are real, honest, and will always point you to Jesus.
