Gregory Zeigler holds a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Utah. Greg was a career educator ultimately serving as head of several schools. He also served as trustee for Kiski School and as Chair of the Board of the The Jackson Hole Community School in Jackson, Wyoming were he resides with his wife, Dimmie.

A life-long passion for communication, both written and spoken, has inspired Zeigler to pursue writing and acting. Zeigler has published two eco-thrillers in the emerging genre of climate fiction (The Straw That Broke, and the sequel, Some Say Fire), and a travel memoir (Travels With Max: In Search of Steinbeck’s America Fifty Years Later). He has written numerous articles on historical and educational subjects.

A popular public speaker, Zeigler has presented papers at national educational conferences throughout his career. He has acted professionally on stage and in film, including appearing alongside NFL great Lynn Swann in an Instructional Television production, Arts Alive.

Zeigler’s award-wining short film, Steinbeck Country, is available for viewing at https://vimeo.com/131129928. Zeigler did a six-week writers’ residency at the Kiski School in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania in the fall of 2016. The Straw That Broke was chosen all-school book at Kiski for 2014.
