Barry Midyet was born in 1947, in Matagorda County, in the heart of the Texas Bible belt. Shortly after he was born, a prophetess (for which Matagorga County is famous) proclaimed that he would be the greatest preacher to ever come out of the county.
After serving in the US Navy, and then working for 25 years in a secular job, the prediction was first fulfilled in Brazoria County where, as the jailhouse preacher, he converted virtually all of the inmates, including hard-core atheists. He did it by showing that almost all of the prophecies made by Jesus, including in His Revelation to John, have been fulfilled over the last 1900 years or so since He proclaimed them.
Next, he began writing The Revelation: A Historicist View, and the first edition was published on December 31st, 1996 (by Westbow Press). It proved that about 85 percent of the prophecies of Jesus were already fulfilled. Each year afterwards, he has published an update showing what prophesies were fulfilled during the last year.
The second book Barry wrote was Genesis: Why We Are Here, which serves as an introduction to the Bible while providing the dates for all the pertinent events in Genesis, including its prophecies. It also serves to correct several misconceptions about the Genesis story -- for example, the Earth was not created in six days a mere 6000 years ago as some believe.
The third book Barry wrote was The Gospels: An Astronomical Guide, which provides an astronomically-proven date for all of the pertinent events in the life of Jesus, including the date of fulfillment of His prophecies.
The three books are meant to serve as the ultimate and undeniable proof for the existence of God. As the Revelation says, the proof of Jesus (that He is the Son of God) is the spirit of prophecy.
