Gregory Blann

Gregory Blann has been an active student of Sufism and the world’s religions for forty years. He studied Sufism with Pir Vilayat Khan and Sheikh Nur al-Jerrahi (Lex Hixon) and studied Kabbala with Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. He was given the spiritual name Muhammad Jamal, and became a sheikh in the Halveti-Jerrahi Order in the 1990's. His books include: The Garden of Mystic Love (Volumes 1 & 2), Lifting the Boundaries: Muzaffer Efendi and the Transmission of Sufism to the West, and When Oceans Merge: the Contemporary Sufi and Hasidic Teachings of Pir Vilayat Inayat Khan and Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi; and Living Open Space: The Interspiritual Journey of Lex Hixon.
