Why do you write?

For as long as Taylre Malloy can remember, she has asked herself this question. "I didn’t choose to become a writer on the basis most would perceive. But in so many words, writing chose me."

Taylre Malloy's love for writing began in her childhood. Since the tender age of seven, she can recall creating stories on loose construction paper in her elementary school library, only to have the school librarian later place her stories on the top shelf for others to view.

For an hour a day, Taylre plunged deep into the furthest reaches of her imagination, adorning the pages of her schoolwork with beautiful shapes, spunky colors, descriptive sentences, and hand-drawn illustrations (first grader style) believing deep inside her heart that her words were special.

Taylre fell in love with the art of storytelling at a very young age and never dared to question this love. She describes her love for writing as "one of the strongest loves she's ever known," and looks forward to generating more literature for readers around the world.
