Leah Michelle McClure is an American born writer. She is the Author of 3 novels to date, And a House with a White Picket Fence, Rage and Innocence and Fatal Reversal. She has also written a host of children’s books that are awaiting publication.
Leah has been writing short stories, poems and plays since the age of 8. Her work had been recognized in school early on, and she continued to write throughout her adulthood for enjoyment.
Leah has a unique talent for writing without the influence of other readers, as she’s always preferred to write as opposed to read. She has also lived an enriched life with an equal amount of challenges as well as blessings, many of which are unfolded in her writing.
By using her keen sense of creativity and employing her own bouts of adversity, she used her cross-over appeal to script hardships, abuse and life’s everyday challenges. In her children’s books she used those same attributes to playfully encourage hope, love, dissimilarity and acceptance.
Leah was born in Connecticut, where she spent the first 20 years of her life. She later had the pleasure of living in many different states including Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York and most recently, Vermont. While none of these places have deterred her love of the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys, she’s also a fan of 80’s movies, Ballroom dancing (watching AND practicing), scenic car rides, a well marbled Ribeye steak, the Winter season, World History and binge-watching Documentaries.
Change is like Iron to the fire, it burns, singes and contorts, but in the end, it always creates something beautiful. -Leah McClure
