Ivy Laika

Ivy Laika is a Haitian-American author. Originally born in Jean Rabel, Haiti, she immigrated to the United States at the age of three.

Through her journey of assimilating into the American culture, she found her love for writing. She started writing poetry and short stories at the age of twelve. She later decided that the healing that writing has offered her needed to be shared with the world. Her writing portrays the power of words, love, confidence, and hope. Her goal is to create images of genuine black love to help others find and accept it freely along with highlighting positive representation of black men and women.
