The author is a 82-year-old retiree that winters in Arizona. His wife’s subtle suggestions resulted in his first novel, “Among the Tin Cans and Broken Glass.” This book is based on his personal experiences as a police officer in Detroit during the 1960s.

The author’s life-long love of bird dogs led to a work of non-fiction, “Good Ones and Scallywags.” This is not a dog training book, but a collection of short stories about dogs, birds, and people he’s encountered across the country, thus the thought-provoking title.
