Vanessa Brister

Vanessa Brister was raised in England in the happy world of 70s and 80s stopmotion animation and classic picture books. She was keen to bring that look to her own stories. Reading has always been her way of relaxing and she is passionate about encouraging children to enjoy reading.

Stampy the Wizard and the Lost Wand was her first story, published as an eBook and an interactive App. A Dinosaur for Show and Tell is her latest tale, inspired by the enthusiasm children have to share their favourite things with their friends. This is available as both a printed book and an eBook. Having found good quality colouring books and activity books invaluable in entertaining her own daughter, she has produced her own with the dinosaur theme.

She is already stocking up on plasticine for her next project.
