Kathryn Lukas-Damer is a former chef, founder of pioneering fermented foods company Farmhouse Culture, and author of the award winning The Farmhouse Culture Guide to Fermenting. With four decades of experience in hospitality, food systems, and entrepreneurship, she brings a deep reverence for the hearth as a source of wisdom, nourishment, and renewal. She lives among the redwoods in California with her husband and fellow wayfinder, a vibrant community of friends, and a beloved menagerie of animals.

After a lifetime in the public sphere, she has at last come home to her truest calling: a full-time hearthologist, devoted to the quiet art of tending, mending, and cherishing what matters most.
