Michael Engle

Michael Engle worked for NASA at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas for 38 years. During that time he was an astronaut training engineer, a spacecraft design engineer, and a Space Shuttle flight controller in Mission Control. His last assignment was as the Chief Engineer for Flight Safety in the Astronaut Office. Mike has been a pilot for over 40 years, and he enjoys reading and writing about airplanes and spacecraft. His first book - "Landing Eagle - Inside the Cockpit During the First Moon Landing" is the first book to give a detailed, minute-by-minute account of the first Moon landing from the perspective of Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin as they piloted the Lunar Module Eagle down to a landing on the Sea of Tranquility.
