John (Jack) Langley, M.D. was born in Connecticut. Being raised in a military family, he lived in places as diverse as Guam, California, Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. He was educated at the University of South Carolina and The Medical College of South Carolina. He completed a residency in General Surgery in Norfolk, Va. and a Vascular Surgery Fellowship in Kansas City, Ks.
Jack majored in English and always had a passion for literature and writing. He began his writing career while still practicing surgery. As a Locum Tenens surgeon, he had ample time for writing. His novels reflect locations visited as well as incorporating stories related to his immediate family and ancestors.
