Brad Lyons

Brad Lyons has spent most of his career in religious, government, and scientific non-profits. An award-winning journalist, he has served as president and publisher of CBP/Chalice Press since 2011. Lyons has coauthored three books on America's national parks, most recently "The National Parks Inspiration Guide." His other books include "America's Holy Ground: 61 Faithful Reflections on Our National Parks" and "America’s Sacred Sites: 50 Faithful Reflections on Our National Monuments and Historic Landmarks."

Most importantly, he is the extremely lucky and proud father of three very kind, very funny, and very smart kids and is learning to be a good pastor's spouse to his wife, Courtney. They live in St. Louis, Missouri.

Brad graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with an emphasis in magazine editing. His newspaper reporting career took him to daily papers in Oklahoma, where he was recognized for excellence in reporting and writing for articles covering the Kairos prison ministry project and the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City federal office building. He worked in leadership development for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and earned his MFA from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
