Annette Stephenson

I participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) since 2015. 2018 I accomplished the goal of 50,000 words in the months time. I decided to start writing because I started getting ideas there were just too good not share. I wanted the stories I was reading to go the way I could see them going. I also wanted to base them in Chicagoland. Its a beautiful city, full of history.

I was born in Skokie Illinois. I now live in a small farm town about an hour outside of Chicago. The Man of Steel Movies were filmed here. My husband and I married in 2018. Our favorite holiday is Halloween and we like to go big to pass out the candy. We met in 2011. For my birthday that year my husband adopted a kitten we call Mojo. Two weeks later we adopted another kitten Jinx. Our lives have never been the same since.

I enjoy reading, writing, quilting and 80's music. I am a fan of many things 80's and make references to them in my writing. I grew up in the area of where John Hughes filmed. I also love cats. If it wasn't for my husband I would be a crazy cat lady. I have 3 or 4 tattoos depending on how you count the ones on my wrists. I got them at the same time so I count them as one. On my left wrist I have paw prints representing each kitty I have adopted over my life.
