JOSEPH ROQUE

Joseph Roque, is a retired educator and poet, with both Bachelor and Master's degrees. As a young teacher, he was given the opportunity to teach a class of advanced English junior high school students a semester of "Creative Writing: The Poem," the first of its kind in his hometown.

During the same year, his first book of poetry, "The Beautiful Sad," was published. In 1972, a second volume, "Heavy: Part II was self-published, and in 1989, "Stations Dance."

His work has also appeared in numerous publications and online poetry sites. He is currently still occupied full time celebrating the joy of family, an insatiable love of writing poetry, and a reverent devotion to the open road on his Harley Davidson.
