Dorothy Emry is the author of ZOMBIE CAFÉ, a novel, and ZOMBIE BLUES, a short story collection. Both books lean more toward Zombieland than The Walking Dead, blending comic absurdity with drama in a world where junk food and disco music are just as useful as guns and axes for taking down the undead.
Over the years, she has worn many hats, working as a display manager, public library technical services staff member, tai chi assistant instructor, high school curriculum writer, and freelance artist. While she has yet to grace the New York Times bestseller list (except in her dreams), she has co-written a steampunk novel, published three paranormal romance novellas under the pen name Kat Duarte, and contributed a short story about a mad Mars rover to a science fiction anthology.
When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading in the garden, watching nerdy TV shows, and spending time with her pets.
