Mimi Pockross

From my first grade days at Horace Mann Elementary School in Chicago, I knew I was going to always be a writer. Lots of life experiences came before I finally settled down to become a full-time freelancer. I write mostly non-fiction about the arts, family, education, and small business. This comes from my years of teaching speech and English, and from being a television producer, a public relations consultant, the owner of an art gallery, and from being a wife, a mother and now a very lucky grandmother. I am thrilled to report that my third book was published in October of 2020 and is now available to the public. I live in Colorado where every day is a challenge to fight for the arts when it's so beautiful here and everyone likes to hike and ski. Still, I was raised by a European mother who never let me forget how important it is to love and appreciate music, theater, dance and books. I feel very lucky to live here and to be an arts advocate!
