A lifelong writer, Lori has captured her imagination and emotions in the language of story and poetry since grade school. Since 2009, she has used her personal blog as a way to cathartically express her struggles and insights to others, and on her journey Lori discovered her heart for encouraging others.
In 2011 Lori began facilitating various support groups for women facing anxiety, codependence, depression, self-image issues, and infertility. Having personal experience in working to overcome all of these challenges, Lori wanted to give women a safe place to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences around these struggles. This experience revealed her natural ability as a listener, encourager, and helper, which led her to return to school where she earned her Life Coach certification and graduated with a Counseling certificate in 2018 as her first step towards becoming a Counselor.
It was in 2015, as she walked along-side other women facing fertility frustrations that she began working towards practicing as an Infertility Coach and the idea for The Pregnant Pause was birthed, beginning a four year journey to becoming the author she always hoped to become.
While Lori continues to wait out her own pregnant pause, in the meantime she finds joy in her coaching work, expressing herself through artistic creations, and sharing life with loved ones. Lori and her husband Sean spend their short summers in Winnipeg enjoying nature, and their long winters hibernating with their cat Tubby, watching psychological thrillers.
