I am but a simple lover of epic fantasy, a mother of three wonderful children, a wife of a brave Law Enforcement Officer (and fellow writer), and a Christian woman.

I grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina where I found my love of writing during my young school days. I first discovered that I could piece together a readable story was when I tried to write my first fanfiction. I was quite young, and wanted to change the outcome of a story I was reading. So, I did.

It was only when my grandmother passed away that I discovered my passion for writing original fiction. Before, my writing was limited to the fan stories I dabbled in when I was not busy with homework or my friends. I created my Elementum Dracones world with, admittedly, different characters than exist now. It was in college that I decided that I wanted to become a published author. But, after seeing my husband's struggle to find a traditional publisher, we decided to do something drastic.

My husband, one of our friends, and I created the Starving Writers Guild.

It was in that guild that my dream became a reality.

Now that the founding members of the Guild have become published writers, we strive to help other independent authors achieve their dream. We offer editing, formatting, and character development services. We can help develop blurbs for advertising and back covers. But, more importantly, we give advice, feedback, and encouragement in a world that is often misunderstood.
