Ashley L. Barrett

Ashley L. Barrett loves to write YA speculative fiction tip-toeing the line of sci-fi and fantasy. She was born and raised in Utah but also claims Oregon and Oklahoma as home. Ashley met her husband on an elevator and they have three children she currently homeschools. Her family currently resides near Mustang, Oklahoma.

In the works is her debut novel, After the Lion Roars. 17-year-old Kyria loses everyone she loves, except for her sister, Zenobia in a tornado in Oklahoma. They live in a world that has increasing natural disasters and individuals have suddenly began having special abilities. She must stay safe from looters, figure out who they can trust, and find permanent shelter for herself and her sister, while keeping Nobi's abilities a secret. Will Kyria find safety for her and her sister? Part 1 of a YA Apocalyptic series.
