Ellen Beener

Ellen Beener is a native Manhattan woman. She grew up with art, music and books. She has been writing here and there in bits and pieces. Several years ago at the age of seventy, she decided to sharpen her skills and write a book of poetry. It has been a long journey of life's up and down to get where she is today...an established published poet.

SHUT UP SHAKEPEAR is a collection of some contemporary poems. She invites readers into secret places. It is emotional as is realistic.

She now lives in the Tampa Bay area of Florida with her first editor and husband. They have two sons and one daughter. They are all talented and doing fabulous.
