Kenneth W. Ross was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, on August 3rd, 1937 to American parents. He is a resident of Red Beach, Maine, and graduated from Calais High School in 1955. Ken served in the US Airforce from 1955-59. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Colorado in 1962. From 1964-65, he served as an Intelligence Analyst for the US Department of Justice. He gained his M.A. in 1965 and his Ph.D. in 1970 in International Relations from American University. He taught as a professor of political science at Adrian College from 1968-97. He is the author of two other publications: Environmental Conflict in Alaska (2001) and Pioneering Conservation in Alaska (2006), both published by U Press of Colorado.
