Bert Lee

I'm Bert Lee, and I'm a songwriter and author who has been a vital player in the New York folk and songwriting music scene for decades. My published music work includes dozens of albums, which can be tracked at https://bertlee.bandcamp.com.

I began my writing adventure when I was a young runaway to New York's Greenwich Village, where I was lucky enough to be a part of a circle of important science fiction writers, poets and song-smiths. Over the years I have created hundreds of songs, musical compositions, movie and theatrical scores, poetry and plays.

Dead Man's Coat is my first foray into historical fiction, and is the first part of a planned trilogy following the lineage of my own family. The Spin Drift Factor, set in mid-twentieth century, continues the family tale, and follows the life of my parents as they started our family. The final volume, Searching for a Reasonable God should be ready for release by December 2019.
