Archana Mirajkar

Archana Mirajkar was born in 1969 in Pune to parents who were professors of Literature. The family moved to New Delhi when she was ten. After finishing high school, Archana trained as an occupational therapist. But drawn by literature, she went back to school and completed her Masters in English literature and post graduate diploma in journalism. She then worked as a journalist in several leading newspapers in Delhi. She began writing short stories in Marathi, which were published in leading literary magazines. She also translated prominent Indian authors from other Indian languages into Marathi. Her original play 'Hello, Kon?' was critically acclaimed. Her latest book, 'All the way...Home', written in English, is a science fiction. Based on cutting edge theories in astrophysics, this novel discusses the nature of reality, time and space and draws on the metaphysical aspects of Indian philosophy.
