David Lee Brooks

I am a new published author and I am trying to market my book and get my name out there so I can be a household name. It has always been a childhood dream of mine to be a published writer ever since I read my first book The Sword of Shanara. I have had ideas for my book series The Olroolian Legacy since I was a child and I was always told to dream big. I went into the Navy straight out of High School and the last two weeks of bootcamp I started writing. At first it was merely experimentation but it eventually took shape and became Shadow's Honor. It took me 18 years to finish my book because I was only able to write here and there. When I got out of The Navy I kind of hit a roadblock because I was in and out of jobs and I was going through a divorce. When I met my second wife the roadblock lifted and I started really writing on my book in between the birth of my sons and getting a job and holding it. Then in August 2018 I stumbled across a publisher named Xlibris and signed with them. My goals for my book since I was a child was to have it eventually become a movie and a video game pretty much like J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy. I strictly write Action/Adventure Fantasy because I have an imagination that really contributes to my art.
