Michael Lechtman

Michael Lechtman was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduation from the University of Minnesota with a major in psychology, he served as a Lieutenant in the United States Army for 2 years. He came to The University of Miami to study law and has practiced law in South Florida since. He also has a Masters's Degree in psychotherapy from Nova Southeastern University.

His writing career began in the late 1980s, while still very busy practicing law. He has published novels, short story collections, screenplays, and a poetry collection, 17 books in all. He has recently published a new short story collection, "Things That Form Life," along with a nonfiction work, "The Jewish Defense Manual: For Safety and Survival Of Jews In The Coming Holocaust," and "How Lincoln Could Have Avoided The Civil War."
