Raymond Newman

I am a retired 1st Sgt, US Army, with 39 years of service. I have been writing as long as I can remember. As a kid in Chicago I used to do my own comic strips. But at my age now that isn't happening anymore. I am a member of the Quill and Scroll Society and a member of their 10,000 inches club for having over 10,000 inches of copy published in my high school years. I put myself through High School working as a reporter and copyboy for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and as a stringer for the LA Times. I am a professional puppeteer and several of my books are adapted from scripts written for performances. My military career took me to such exotic places as Korea (Twice) and Turkey as well as military posts from one end of the country to the other. I am married to a classically trained ballerina who danced with a company in New York as well as several here in our area of California but now plays the cello in our church orchestra. We have five kids, one of each kind I always like to say, several grandchildren and a few greats. They are scattered from one end of the country to the other.

As you can see from some of the books that they are written from a Christian perspective. I have been a Christian most of my life and much of my inspiration comes from that. If reading this inspires you to read any of my books, thank you. If it doesn't, thank you for taking the time to read this, and God Bless.
