Cathy Krizik is a writer, photographer, graphic designer, and magazine art director. She is the editor of "REFUGE: Voices of Courage & Resilience for a Fractured World" and the author of "52 Reasons for Hope: Finding Inspiration in Times of Trouble" and the liminted edition graphic memoir "And All the Inbetweens".
Her essays and articles have appeared in publications including The Utne Reader, North Dakota Quarterly, Evening Street Review, Rubbertop Review, and Superstition Review, among others. An essay about the gifts of hospice received a Pushcart Prize nomination.
Alongside her writing, Cathy has spent her career designing print and digital media for organizations committed to making the world a better place. For the last twenty years she has been the Design Director for Executive Woman Media (formerly Diversity Woman Media), overseeing the design of magazines and national conferences.
In addition to her creative work, Cathy earned a MA in Career Development and worked as a career counselor in a public agency helping unemployed and discouraged job seekers rebuild their lives and rediscover purpose.
A lifelong spiritual seeker, Cathy serves as President of the Board of Trustees at the Center for Spiritual Living Santa Cruz.
She lives with her wife and feline in Santa Cruz, CA, where the redwoods meet the sea.
