David McAllister

David McAllister is an Ordained Minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He has served as the pastor of the Gateway Christian Church in Los Angeles for the past thirty years.

The arts have an important place in David’s life and ministry. His doctoral work was in the area of arts and theology, and he was awarded a Doctor of Ministry degree in that area by Wesley Theological Seminary in 2008. He seeks ways to have the church engage the arts in both worship and educational settings.

David served in an ecumenical organization earlier in his career. He continues to value highly the gifts that we can offer to one another, both across Christian traditions and in interfaith encounters.
