Sarah Coomber has been connected with Japan for four decades, ever since a high school exchange program brought her to a castle town by the Sea of Japan.
She has since taught Japanese language and dance to young people in Minnesota, taught English in rural Japan on the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program, and spent twelve years studying the koto/Japanese zither.
Sarah has worked in public relations and journalism, and currently does contract writing, teaches writing workshops and yoga classes, offers koto demonstrations, and writes about life in the sandwich generation. She lives with her family in Minnesota.
