Carole N Sondrup

Author Carole Sondrup's three children grew up with Amy. Their grandfather, Robert C. Norris ("Cowboy Bob") had been asked to let Amy and her "cousins" live on some property owned by the family. Amy did grow up with the horses and cows and dogs - and a goat - who made T- Cross Ranches their home.

Carole is a grandmother of seven and was integral in arranging for Cowboy Bob to get the training needed to be able to communicate with Amy, using a language-like system that is now standard with zoos throughout the world. Amy played an important part in the lives of those most dear to Carole - her father and her children.

"Amy brought all of us such joy that I wanted children everywhere to learn the lesson of love that we experienced through loving Amy, so I wrote Elephants Love Cowboys Too."
